Catherine Elliott (GBR)

Catherine Elliott graduated in English and French law from Birmingham University in 1989. She qualified as a barrister in 1991 and was awarded a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies from Paris-Assas University in 1998. She has been a lecturer at the University of East London and Kingston University and joined City University in 2004.

She is the joint author of a series of successful textbooks on the English Legal System, Criminal Law, Contract Law and Tort Law. Her books on French law are 'French Criminal Law', 'French Legal System' and 'French Legal System and Legal Language: an introduction in French'. She is also a regular contributor to journals, particularly on the subject of criminal law.
