The first few lessons follow him through his positions as aedile, praetor (with special honours), and consul (twice). He had a second, separate position as an augur, an omen-reading priest. Plutarch says that Aemilius took the job of being an augur so seriously that he raised it to an art form. He also took his role as military commander very seriously. Plutarch finds it noteworthy that he personally taught (instructed, coached) the soldiers under his command. Anotace: Řád církevní Jednoty Bratří Českých, vydaný v roce 1632 v polském Lešně patří v rámci publikační činnosti Jednoty k pozdním tiskům. Vzhledem k tomu, že jde o tisk schválený synodem Jednoty, představuje bezpochyby oficiální názory teologů Jednoty bratrské první poloviny sedmnáctého století. Jeho název vyvolává v soudobém čtenáři pocit, že jde spíše o látku týkající se církevního práva, při četbě Řádu je poměrně záhy zřejmé, že samotný text však tomuto předpokladu neodpovídá. Tato práce si klade za cíl charakterizovat Řád církevní Jednoty Bratří Českých z hlediska účelu, pro který byl sepsán a v první části shromažďuje a vyhodnocuje informace vykreslující historické pozadí vzniku textu. Dále zde zpracovává podklady dokladující charakter myšlenkového a právního prostředí doby a místa, ve které a na kterém text vznikal. Na tomto základě upřesňuje účel a charakter textu Řádu církevního Jednoty Bratří Českých. Druhý cíl, který tato práce sleduje je hledání odpovědi na otázku, zda text samotný, který ve své většině popisuje praktické otázky života křesťanského společenství, od úrovně regionální správy církve až po úroveň praktické aplikace křesťanského přístupu k životu v rodině, je díky autoritě na které spočívá nadčasový a může být podkladem pro promýšlení současné církevní praxe, nebo zda je časově podmíněný natolik, že je dnes pouze historickým dokumentem. anonym

Anotace: Idea státu rakouského je dílo Františka Palackého, ve kterém českému národu vyložil svou představu budoucího uspořádání rakouského císařství.
