Review:

Well, what should I really say? I love "Wolfheart" and "Irreligious", but found nothing likeable on "Sin/Pecado"... I was accordingly careful, when I put "The Butterfly Effect" into my player.

The first thing that springs to your ear is positive, because the guitars are crunching really nicely in some parts, but in the same swing, MOONSPELL have grown even more modern and difficult to digest than ever before.

If the quality of songs would reach masterpieces like "Opium", "Alma Mater" or "Mephisto", fans of their beginnings could arrange with the used Electronica and strange sounds incorporated with much good will, but good tracks like "Soulsick", "Can't Bee" (sometimes reminiscent of TIAMAT's "A Deeper Kind Of Slumber") or the highly interesting "Selfabuse", stand opposite to such total flops like "Lustmord", "Soulitary Vice" or the very experimental "K".

Fans of the first two-and-a-hald albums, I guess, already have bade farewell to MOONSPELL with "Sin/Pecado", but still they could listen to the Portuguese quintet, perhaps they may find something more to their liking (although I honestly doubt it)...
