Black humoured probe into the "little Czechs" morality directed by Miloš Forman.

It's like fan-fair. Refreshing movie where captain Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp dominates with his creations.

Amazing adaptation of original book.

Another classical and widely popular Czech movie. The film was made in early 50's and therefore there can be sensed some kind of euphoria after the accession of communist regime. This euphoria affected even such great cultural personality as Jan Werich was. However, it hadn't lasted for long.

Endearingly naive Czech school comedy from the so called "First Republic" era (first half of the 20th century).

Classical comedy.

Excellent thriller. Verhoeven made oppressive erotic atmosphere, between two main characters are nearly tactual sparkling and script is not simple. Great movie.

Great serial. For me the one of the best ever made. It intentionally gets near the "spirit of the time" in the way I imagined in the time of my youth when I was reading the ancient books.

This movie was for me like a revelation. A soft balancing between the insanity and "normality" with the heavily depressed undertone and salvation at the end. Geographical determinism in practice. I cannot imagine this movie would be made south from Denmark :-).
